Tracey Doi serves as Chief Financial Officer for TOYOTA Motor North America responsible for accounting, finance, tax, corporate strategy and planning. Toyota (NYSE:TM) is committed to promoting sustainable, next-generation mobility through the Toyota and Lexus brands. In North America, Toyota has created a tremendous value chain with 47,000 team members providing world-class design, engineering, manufacturing, sales and distribution. In 2018, over 2.7 million vehicles were sold, and 2 million vehicles produced annually in 14 manufacturing plants in the
United States, Canada and Mexico, generating over $80 billion in revenues.
Tracey is a change agent skilled in major transformation, strategic planning, business analytics,
enterprise systems, risk management and corporate governance. She has a passion for building highly engaged teams to successfully grow Toyota in this disruptive auto mobility environment.
As an executive member of the North American Management Committee, Tracey sets strategy,
and drives initiatives to increase competitiveness in manufacturing, R&D, sales, marketing, digital technology and logistics. She serves on the Audit and Benefit committees.
Tracey serves as an independent board director for City National Bank, a $50 billion subsidiary of Royal Bank of Canada. She chairs the Audit Committee and is a member of the Risk committee. Primary areas of focus include regulatory compliance, growth opportunities, cybersecurity, and talent development strategy. Previously Tracey served two terms on the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco Economic Advisory Council.
Tracey is an active board member of the National Asian American Pacific Islander Chamber of Commerce, 2020 Women on Boards, and the Japanese American National Museum, in addition to volunteering for the Orchid Giving Circle at the Texas Women’s Foundation. Tracey has been recognized three consecutive times by Automotive News as one of the Top 100 Women in the automotive industry and by D CEO as one of the Top 500 most influential business leaders in Dallas-Fort Worth.

In the community, Thear is active through board service. With the Texas Women’s Foundation, Thear serves as co-chair of the Economic Leadership Council and a proud founding member of the Orchid Giving Circle. Thear also serves on the SMU Lyle Engineering School Executive Board, the Dallas Holocaust & Human Rights Museum Board, the Boy Scouts of America Board, Circle Ten Council, the National Asian/Pacific Islander Chamber of Commerce & Entrepreneurship Board, and she co-chairs the 2020 Women on Boards – National Conversation on Board Diversity – Dallas initiative.
Thear is a 2019 Presidential Leadership Scholar and she has received several recognitions, including Women Leaders in Consulting Future Leader Award, NAAAP 100 Award, Wing’s Mentors & Allies Award, Each Moment Matters Award, and 2019 Nomi Network Abolitionist Award. Thear has been included in several publications including a book called “Powering Up! How America’s Women Achievers Become Leaders”, the Everest Project research study called Women Redefining Corporate America, Understanding and Engaging High Net Worth Donors of Color, and in EY’s Journeys that Inspire.
Thear enjoys connecting with individuals who seek opportunities to help others be successful, in business and in our community. Thear lives in Plano, Texas with her husband Eric and their four sons.
